Two Rivers Point

Sunset Heights is being converted to the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Under the RAD program, Sunset Heights will shift from the Public Housing program to the Section 8 Project-Based Voucher (PBV) program. In conjunction with the RAD conversion to the Section 8 program, Sunset Heights will become the latest CHS property and will be rebranded as Two Rivers Point.

The 1 & 2 BEDROOM waiting lists for Two Rivers Point Project Based Voucher will open on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 8:30 AM. Applications are accepted in person or by mail at the Two Rivers Point Office, at 3130 9th Street, Rock Island, Illinois, 61201

Proposed Redevelopment of Lincoln Homes

CHS submitted a Preliminary Project Assessment Application to the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) in January 2018 to demolish and replace Lincoln Homes. The preliminary application was approved and CHS was invited to apply for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) funding in late February. While competition is fierce, CHS is optimistic that the project will be funded; notification is anticipated early this summer.
